The AAS-ANR prepares students for employment in agencies focused on
agriculture, ranching, water quality and management, range planning,
natural resource management, and environmental restoration of the
Sonoran Desert. Here are important points about the Associate of
Applied Science Degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources.
- Complete
Pre-Program Requirements before beginning an AAS-ANR.
- New classes developed by TOCC may meet AAS-ANR requirements.
Check the TOCC website for updates.
- Note: In order to meet Associate of Applied
Science program requirements, a grade of C (2.0) or higher is
required for each class.
- The AAS-ANR prepares students for direct employment. To
prepare for transferring to a university, start by completing
one of the AGEC certificates (described earlier in this chapter)
- Completion of an
AGEC-A,
AGEC-B, or AGEC-S for Transfer will guarantee admission to
the any of the three Arizona public universities (University of
Arizona, Arizona State University, or Northern University of
Arizona). However, students need to consult with the college or
program within the state university to plan a smooth transfer.
- Notes on scheduling (in parentheses in the checklist tables)
show when courses are offered.
- Students should meet with their advisors at least once every
semester.
