Associate of Applied Science Degree in Office and Administrative Professions, for Direct Employment (AAS-OAP)

The Associate of Applied Science in Office and Administrative Professions (the AAS-OAP) degree prepares students for direct employment in the office and administrative professions. Specifically, the degree provides training in Microsoft Office programs and other skills necessary for entry-level administrative support staff. TOCC offers the Administrative Assistant concentration for the AAS-OAP degree. Students seeking to complete the AAS-OAP with a concentration in Computer Applications Specialist or Legal Secretary should refer to the TOCC website for updated information.

Students pursuing an AAS-OAP degree should meet with their TOCC advisors every semester. Students may also want to meet with potential employers for advice on skills preferred in specific local offices and agencies.

Here are important points about the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Office and Administrative Professions.
