Certificate in
Office and Administrative Professions, for Direct Employment (CRT-OAP)
|
|
|
The Certificate in Office and Administrative Professions (the CRT-OAP)
provides skills needed to perform a variety of tasks within an
office operation. Students pursuing a CRT-OAP should meet with their
TOCC advisors every semester. Students may also want to meet with
potential employers for advice on skills preferred in specific local
offices and agencies.
Here are important points about the Certificate in Office and
Administrative Professions:
- Certificates with 30 credits or fewer have no General
Education requirements. Students are strongly encouraged to take
reading, writing, math, and computer classes to strengthen basic
skills.
- New classes may meet program requirements. Check the TOCC
website for updates.
- Note: In order to meet certificate program requirements, a
grade of C (2.0) or higher is required for each class.
- The CRT-OAP is not a transfer certificate. Students seeking
to transfer to a university or four-year college should complete
the AGEC-A
or AGEC-B certificate or a
transfer degree.
- Notes on scheduling (in parentheses in the checklist tables)
show when courses are offered.
- Students may receive credit by examination or demonstration
for OAP courses. Contact an OAP instructor for additional
information.
- Students should meet with their advisors at least once every
semester.
